Aodeli Australia is proud to have been chosen alongside fellow local cladding installer, Cladding Creations, to be part of the town’s iconic HOTA (Home Of The Arts) construction project. Designed by ARM Architecture and currently under construction by Hansen Yuncken, this unique building is set to become one of Australia’s largest regional galleries.
Aodeli’s popular cladding solution, SAP, a 3mm solid aluminium panel made of 5052 marine grade aluminium was chosen as the preferred product for the exterior. The advanced panels are a proven “fire safe” solution as well as being resistant to Queensland’s harsh weather and climate. Aodeli worked closely with ARM Architecture to develop 11 custom-matched finishes for the distinctive 3D Voronoi design—a cellular-looking web that will be laid over the entire HOTA site and then clad with the distinctive SAP custom coloured panels.
To achieve ARM Architecture’s design for the exterior, Cladding Creations will be installing façade panels in different shapes and sizes. “This project is an exciting challenge for our team. To ensure that everything runs smoothly we have worked with Aodeli on a delivery schedule that ensures that we have only the specific panels we require on site at any given time. This project is much more than installing one finish at a time,” explained Damian Popovic from Cladding Creations.
Aodeli General Manager, Wayne Saunders, added: “It is a pleasure to be part of this iconic construction project right on our doorstep. We look forward to seeing the façade come to life and especially to see the 11 custom finishes working together in stunning harmony to bring he Voronoi to life”.
The HOTA construction project is due for completion before the end of 2020 with the building being open to the public in 2021. Progress updates will be provided on a regular basis so that you too can see this visually dynamic construction come to life.
